Group Dynamic

After coming off the second project having worked with a group, I was eager to do it all over again and get to know some more of my classmates. This time, my group consisted of Cherilyn Ferris, Megan McBride and Shane Pinkston.

There were no major issues amongst the group, as we all were able to cooperate with one another and get the job done. As I mentioned before, the real stressful point came when our word fell apart after constructing it. This tested our group’s patience not only with the assignment, but with one another.

Luckily, we were able to pick ourselves up and reconstruct it. Another part that was frustrating, again came with the construction phase. Since we were using the negative space, we had a lot more mass then the others, thus making it hard to access and not as sturdy. We put our heads together and came up with a solution that not only solved the problem of creating support, but also added to the meaning of our word. Whe added wooden rods and glued them on the inside which provided the needed support. As an aesthetic touch, we painted them gray, to go with our word Capture and mimic a jail cell.
